Drop of a hat

“It’s obvious that if the rhythm of the drum beat changes, the dance steps must adapt.” ~ African proverb.  I have to admit that sadness takes it’s toll and with all that’s going on in the world, perhaps dance seems to sometimes look like it should be off the menu.  Only that my dear, is when I need to dance the most and maybe you too.  The lyrics don’t even have to make sense.  Yes, it is true, if the rhythm changes, the steps must adapt.  The show must go on and to do that, practice patience, practice peace and most of all practice being joyful!  Therefore, dance.

As for the idiom “Drop of a hat” it’s been a long time passing, since I actually busked for my fare home from London, but I can sometimes be seen practicing down the corridors at work. It makes others smile and that counts for sommat.

Here’s a fact: I’m definitely a country mouse and I couldn’t see me ever being happy living in a city full of people, noise and pollution. Earning lots of money to pay for lots of expensive things, just seems to me like some sort cage and stinky exercise wheel. Nope, not for me!
