Each year one or another of the apple trees will be covered, really, really covered with apples. They seem to take turns in being prolific. This year there’s two doing really well and a few not so much. It might be the preference of pollinators or the direction and timing of the worst winds, but who knows?
I’m so fortunate, as now have a professional juicer given to me by a friend and I might try making some cider to share. We will see. How lovely to have such kind and generous friends. I recall a poster I put up in a previous house, in what seems like a previous life and it read: “If you want a friend, be a friend” and isn’t that so very, very true.

Just had a crumble made from windfall apples and hedgerow brambles. Awesome 🙂
